Wind Speed

The Latitude vs Wind Speed plot displays that wind speeds incrase the further away a city is from the equator. This is
more noticeable in the northern hemisphere because the latitude in this plot reaches out to nearly 80 degrees latitude
while the southern reaches out to less than -60 degrees.
A possible factor for this may be the the "Coriolis effect" which causes the direction of winds and ocean
currents to be deflected. The force earth's rotation produces on all bodies moving relative to the earth causes the
force to be greatest at the poles and least at the equator.
